No more than six, may be a few as three. It depends on the number of entries.

No, but they are very experienced eaters! KCBS judges are not used on Friday night.
Can I sign up for Anything But on the day of the event?
Yes, it helps to know how many judges are needed if you sign up with your entry form, but certainly we are happy to have you participate by signing up on Friday when you arrive.
How are the entries scored?
Points are given for presentation, originality and taste.
What do others do for presentation?
Some teams have a table and chairs for the judges, some do not; some teams use paper plates, some use china; some offer water or soda, some do not but everyone talks to the judges -- especially if there are interesting details about the ingredients, the preparation or if the recipe has a "family history."
What can I win?
A trophy and prize money is given for first place (last year it was $100), and prize money for second place (last year it was $50). For details, see the "Anything But" section of Cookoff Awards & Prizes

$20 day of show. Pre-registration is $20 but also includes one BBQ meal.

We ask if you want to park together to come in the gate together. We have plenty of parking outside the gate. Inside the fairgrounds it gets congested.
Can we set up tents?
We give plenty of room for chairs, but not for tents. There is so much going on you will not want to sit for very long.
Can I trailer my car?
Yes, we have a large parking lot outside the gate where you can unload and park the trailer and drive into the show gate.
